CS-Cart is constantly developing software. Several times a year we release an upgraded version of CS-Cart. Together with each new version the functionality and usability of the software are improved, and new modules and skins are added.

CS-Cart license grants you the right to run the software on your server for an unlimited amount of time.

In addition, CS-Cart license holders , who had bought the license after the 16th of June 2008, have full access to new versions of CS-Cart free of charge for a period of one year from the date of purchase. In order to extend this access, license holders can purchase a one-year maintenance plan.

The maintenance plans are available at the following prices:
49.50€ – if the plan is purchased within one month after access to updates is closed;
89.50€ – in case the plan is purchased after one month upon access termination.

Such plans are sold on a per license basis.

• No updates may be used to upgrade the licenses for which the yearly maintenance plan has not been bought or has terminated.

Purchasing the plan for a license, you get the right to install new versions only on the domain for which the license has been activated. Please note that maintenance plans are bought to get access to new CS-Cart versions, but no fee is charged for the right to continue using the software without upgrade.

• All critical security patches and service packs are available to all customers free of charge.

Manual Upgrade

It is necessary to keep in mind that CS-Cart is open source software which allows the store owner to change the program code. This is one of the key CS-Cart features which gives limitless possibilities in improving the standard functionality according to specific needs of the online store.

At the same time, these changes often lead to complications when trying to automate the upgrade process. In these cases, manual work is required for indentifying and removing the conflicts between the new and the changed versions of CS-Cart.

Upgrade Service

CS-Cart offers an upgrade service for your modified CS-Cart store up to the latest version. Our specialists will examine the amount of work necessary for resolving the conflicts during your store upgrade and estimate its cost.

In most cases, our service cost varies from 100€ to 200€, depending on the quantity of the changes in your store. Please note, that some modifications can require full manual transfer to the latest version, which can increase the total cost of our upgrade service.

If the modifications were made by our specialists as Custom Development Services, then the upgrade cost will be from 20% of its initial cost, depending on the difficulty of the required manual work.
